USGC and Hermitage Golf Course announce 2021 USGC National Championship

Glen Ellyn, IL, Oct. 13, 2020 – The United States Golf Challenge (USGC) and Hermitage Golf Course announced today that the USGC National Championship will be held October 11-13, 2021 at the Hermitage Golf Course.

 
 

The 7th annual tournament will be held on the award-winning General’s Retreat and President’s Reserve.

The USGC National Championship is the final selection process to select Team USA for the International King’s Cup held in IrelandTwo-person teams compete in two age Divisions and 4 Flights within each Division.

The International King’s Cup is a team match-play event played in honor of golf’s greatest ambassador – Mr. Arnold Palmer, whose Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship and Commitment to Excellence represent the ideals for which the game of golf is known.

About Hermitage Golf Course – Hermitage Golf Course is family-owned with two 18-hole championship golf courses. General’s Retreat is designed by Gary Roger Baird and is the original course with a park-like feel. The course was host to the LPGA’s Sara Lee Classic for 12 years.  President’s Reserve is built in wetlands and designed by Denis Griffiths.  It was voted “Top Daily Fee Course in the State” by Golf Digest. The course boasts 45 Scottish Blackface Sheep which roam the property. There are also 8 luxury cottages in which guests can stay. 

About the USGC  - The United States Golf Challenge (USGC™), owned and operated by Medalist Events LLC, is entering its 7th season as America’s representative to the International King's Cup. The USGC will conduct over 20 National Qualifying events around the country with qualifying teams playing in the USGC National Championship in October 2021 culminating in the selection of Team USA for the 2022 International King’s Cup.
