NFL Alumni Celebrity Golf Classic becomes an Official USGC National Qualifier
Glen Ellyn, IL, November 15, 2021 – The United States Golf Challenge (USGC) and Global Sports Management announced today that the NFL Alumni Celebrity Golf Classic will become an official USGC National Qualifier.
The tournament, being held March 10-11, 2022 in Braselton, GA at the Château Élan Golf Club, will be part of a nationwide series of qualifying events leading to the 2022 USGC King’s Cup National Championship. The top 33% of each amateur flight will receive invitations to the USGC King’s Cup National Championship.
The NFL Alumni Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament’s goal is to raise money for the NFL Alumni’s mission, Caring For Kids, as well as give corporations and individuals a chance to attend a celebrity-based event in Atlanta.
In addition, the celebrity/athlete will play for a purse for a foundation of their choice. Each sponsor will be paired with an athlete/celebrity for a few great days of events and golf. The top 33% of the celebrity flight will also receive invitations to the USGC King’s Cup National Championship.
At the USGC King's Cup National Championship, teams compete in one of four flights in two Divisions (Open and Senior) for the opportunity to represent Team USA at the International King’s Cup™ held in Ireland.
The International King’s Cup is a team match-play event played in honor of golf’s greatest ambassador – Mr. Arnold Palmer, whose Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Commitment to Excellence represent the ideals for which the game of golf is known.
